MAGERWA is a public - private company created in July 1969 for the management of bonded warehouses. It has seven shareholders (The Rwandese Government, Banque Rwandaise de Developpement BRD, Banque de Kigali BK, Banque Commerciale du Rwanda BCR, SDV Rwanda, AMIFIN Holding, RWANDA LINKS). MAGERWA handles around 90% of total imports and exports of Rwanda, and also some transit traffic for Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
