For over four decades, Ceres has developed and implemented successful stevedoring and terminal operating principles and systems to meet the customers growing requirements. In our role as Marine Terminal Operator, Ceres integrates the latest technology into every operating system to coordinate the loading and discharge of cargo with the right workforce, equipment, trucker, warehousing, empty storage, and documentation. We are constantly upgrading and evaluating our systems and processes to ensure the highest levels of productivity, turnaround and customer satisfaction. At every port location, the team effort produced by Ceres proactive senior managers and skilled workforce keep productivity high, expediite vessel turnaround and ensure that cargo handling is safe and secure. Ceres' latest venture is the Ceres Paragon Terminal in Amerikahaven, Amsterdam. It is a revolutionary concept in container handling facilities. The terminal features an indented berth with cranes capable of working mega ships up to 22 containers across deck from both sides of the vessel. Productivity will be doubled to 300 picks per hour and costs dramatically reduced. Ceres has always embraced technological advancements. In order to be the very best at what we do, we have to use every tool that keep our operations moving flawlessly, give us the competitive edge as well as keep our customers satisfied. Our advanced Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) applications provide a comprehensive online database that delivers up-to-the-minute information on every container in every terminal as well as video OCR scanning and radio frequency devices. Ceres EDI and microwave networks collect and distribute cargo container data worldwide. We match containers with owners and consignees, specify container slots, issue sequential work assignments to yard equipment operators and give truckers selected points for pickup and drop-off. Our Electronic Cargo Information Services provide EDI on cargo bookings, freight releases, delivery data and import/export information as well as CPU to CPU capabilities. Thinking big.
