Company Profile With effect from October 1st, 2000 the business activities of Montan Shipping GmbH were taken over by Peter W. Lampke (GmbH & Co.) and are continued as Montan Shipping GmbH & Co. KG. The PWL-group is an owner-run enterprise alliance located in Hamburg, Bremen, Bremerhaven and lately Antwerp that has been active in shipping and logistics for more than 35 years. In order to compromise the co-operation of the two companies Montan Shipping GmbH & Co. KG has moved to the PWL-group's Hamburg premises at the following address: Admiralitaetstrasse 59 20459 Hamburg Montan Shipping mainly acts as chartering agent/broker for various national and international industrial clients. The company's most important activities are world-wide chartering on the dry cargo sector, all agency matters at the ports of Hamburg and Stade and via subagents at all other German ports as well as stevedoring/cargo handling of bulk cargoes at Hamburg. With its excellent connections to German and foreign owners the company, furthermore, is actively involved in the scope of competitive chartering. Montan Shipping handles all kinds of bulk materials including bauxite, aluminium, coal, petroleum coke, fertilizers, ore, concentrates, pig iron, grain and steel products. Cargo sizes vary from coastal trading up to Panamax/Cape size. General Juridical Information Our Service Montan specialises in the following services: Agency activities The Agency Department of Montan Shipping handles 1 to 2 million tons of cargo throughout the year carried by about 200 to 300 vessels ranging from small coasters up to Cape size vessels. For tramp vessels and conventional cargo ships as well as tankers our staff offer a complete range of professional services 24 hrs per day including: General Husbandry Services: Port and berth information Disbursements calculation in connection with all possible cost savings Coordination and documentation of cargo operations of all kinds Vessel's clearance with authorities All kinds of waste disposal (garbage, sludge, slops etc.) Drydocking / Repair Attendance Coordination of deliveries and services, repairs, maintenance etc. Arranging spare parts, and assistance in all purchasing matters Close connection between owners/shipyard/vessel Crew Changes Coordination of all crew matters Assistance in crew matters (medical care, transport, visa arrangements etc.) Stevedoring in the port of Hamburg: We can arrange stevedoring services for any kind of cargo at competitive rates which includes: Cargo handling/ Transhipment operations Chartering activities With its excellent connections to German and foreign ship owners and charterers our staff is actively involved in the scope of competitve chartering. Cargo sizes vary from coastal trading up to Panamax/Cape size. The chartering volume amounts to about 3 to 4 million tons per annum. and our Agency Department handles 1 to 2 million tons of cargo throughout the year carried by about 200 to 300 vessels.
