Our invention was born in a 1990 in a garage: a simple adjustable seal that solved the problems of cable and pipe penetrations. Today the unique Roxtec multidiameter technology is a certified standard worldwide. Multidiameter technology is used to seal pipe and cable penetrations. Our sealing system protects installations by preventing spreading of water, gas, dust, insects, fire and electro-magnetic interference through the penetrations. Our organization Roxtec?s organization consists of the companies in Sweden, the USA, Spain, Germany, the UAE, China, Finland and Italy. Roxtec International AB in Sweden is the parent company where all research and development and manufacture is carried out. Together with our local distributors we are operational in 67 markets worldwide. Long company presentation The Roxtec sealing system is modular. Multidiameter modules with a frame and a compression unit are used to seal pipe and cable penetrations. The frame is installed on the unit and the cables are routed through it. The modules are adjusted by peeling off a layer so that the diameter of the hole corresponds to that of the cable or the pipe. The modules are then installed around the cables or pipes in the frame. Once the compression unit has been tightened, a reliable seal is created. It is the multidiameter modules that make the system unique. A single module can seal cables or pipes of varying diameters. Installation is very quick and simple. The result is a reliable and functional seal. The system can be used to seal cable and pipe penetrations in the most variable environments; from naval to civil applications, from bulkheads to cabinet mounted equipment. The system forms a perfect seal, whether the opening is round, rectangular or a pipe sleeve. How are the products used? Roxtec s products are used to seal all types of cables on vessels and offshore units. Common applications are A or H (fire) classed and watertight bulkheads or decks. The products are suitable for small signal cables as well as large power cables. Typical marine & offshore installations are welded frames in various combinations. Roxtec s products are also highly suitable to seal pipes. Steel pipes that are routed through bulkheads or decks are commonly sealed with single round penetrations. When sealing multiple pipes, frames that utilize the multidiameter modules are used. The products are used to seal sprinkler systems, pneumatic pipes, etc. Large frame combinations with many cables are a common sight. With spare capacity in the frame new cables can easily be added during construction work and throughout the lifetime of the vessel. The rubber in Roxtec's transits reduces the risk of vibrations, caused by for example hydraulic systems, transmitting in to the hull. Frames are available in different materials, sizes and shapes to suit your needs. Frames with rounded corners are used in bulkheads with high stress to avoid cracks.
