History A/S Roulunds Fabriker was founded in 1736 when it started as a rope manufacturer and salt works. DESMI A/S was founded in 1834 and is one of the oldest companies in Denmark. Nowadays A/S Roulunds Fabriker employs over 1200 people manufacturing a wide range of rubber based products such as conveyor belts, power transmission belts and friction materials. 18 years ago the first RO-BOOM was developed for the Danish Environmental Agency. Over the years the line was enhanced and marketed by the environmental division - RO-CLEAN. DESMI is now engaged in the manufacture of a wide range of pumps for ship building, industrial, fire fighting and the fishing industries. Over the last 25 years DESMI has developed a special range of pumps and oil skimming equipment.
