Revere Company Profile Revere Supply Co., Inc. has been manufacturing and distributing the finest marine safety equipment since its founding in 1936. During World War II, Revere s manufacturing subsidiary, "Kent Manufacturing", produced balsa wood rigid floats and ring buoys while its other subsidiary "Signal Pyrotechnics", manufactured the USCG approved 37mm Flare Pistol. Continuing this tradition through our new manufacturing subsidiary, "Revere Survival Products", Revere currently makes such USCG approved safety equipment as Life Rafts, First Aid Kits, Fishing Kits, Food Rations, Signaling Mirrors, etc. As a wholesaler, Revere was among the first companies to distribute marine pyrotechnics since flares were first required in lifeboats on commercial vessels. In 1970, Revere became the exclusive U.S. importer for both Pains Wessex Ltd. and Schermuly Ltd. (later purchased by Pains Wessex Ltd.) pyrotechnics. Today, Revere has grown to become the largest commercial marine importer and distributor for Pains Wessex in the world. Revere has also been in the sales of USCG approved inflatable life rafts dating back as early as 1958, when Uniroyal made the first fishing boat life raft. In 1976, Revere opened its own plant to manufacture the Revere USCG approved life raft. And in 1992, RFD Ltd and Revere entered a joint marketing agreement for the production and distribution of the RFD/Revere brand of inflatable life raft products. Today, Revere has expanded its product line to include Pains Wessex GMDSS electronic products as well as FAA approved products such as life rafts, inflatable vests, and lifejacket lights. All this, in addition to Pains Wessex pyrotechnics, USCG approved marine life rafts, and a full line of lifeboat and other safety equipment.
