Zhuhai International Container Terminals (Jiuzhou) (ZICT(J)) is located in the city of Zhuhai on the western bank of the Pearl River Delta, just 36 nautical miles from Hong Kong. The Terminal serves Zhuhai, an industrial city, and its large, developing hinterland. Zhuhai is a centre for the manufacture of many of China's leading export items, including footwear, toys, garments, electronic products and furniture. It has a well developed road network for cargo haulage and is connected to Hong Kong and Guangzhou by an expressway. ZICT(J) has been in operation since 1993. It has seven warehouses with a total area of more than 14,000sq. meters, located within the terminal. Three are over 2,500 sq. meters in size. ZICT(J) also offers direct service berthing at Hongkong International Terminals (HIT), as well as reefer box storage.
