Nanhai International Container Terminals (NICT) is located at the Sanshan Economic Development Zone, adjacent to the city of Nanhai. It lies on the northern reaches of the Pearl River, 86 nautical miles from Hong Kong. Nanhai is an important city in Guangdong. Centrally located, it acts as a warehousing and distribution centre for the province. As such, it has excellent road and bridge connections to Guangzhou and other industrial centres. NICT has been in operation since 1994. The terminal has a 5,000 ton off-dock refrigerated warehouse and a 6,000 sq. meters all-weather CFS warehouse located inside the terminal. On-site customs and joint inspection services as well as X-ray container inspection service are provided. It also offers direct service berthing at HIT, bonded warehousing, local vessel and cargo agency, as well as container repairs.
