Jasungdae Container Terminal is the first container terminal in Koreaa, and was constructed in 1982 under the 1st and 2nd Phase port Busan Development Projects. On December 3, 1997, the terminal handled 20 million containers and became the 6th single container terminal in the world to process more than 20 million containers. The terminal was privatized in 1999, Korea Hutchison Terminal as the terminal operator.
