The Commercial Department is dealing with freight contracting on a competitive basis in the panamax, handy and handymax sizes as an exclusive broker for Bulfracht (Cyprus) Ltd. A little history - it all started in the early seventies with the attempts to channel the Bulgarian FOB exports through Bulfracht although not locally controlled. Using our close everyday contacts with the local export/import companies we obtained information for the expected trade deals and the FOB buyers. By offering competitive terms we managed to ship a considerable part of the Bulgarian fertilizers and steels exports worldwide. Gradually these activities started to expand beyond the local foreign trade and by the late eighties Bulfracht was already the major carrier of fertilizers, pig iron and steel products shipped out of the Black Sea and the Baltic. Further expansion involved grain, ore, coal and bauxite on a worldwide scale. In 1995 Bulfracht (Cyprus) Ltd. was established and formally took over all the freight trading activities, exclusively controlled by the Commercial Dept. Today Bulfracht (Cyprus) is an internationally recognized operator shipping an average of 2.5 million tons of dry bulk cargoes annually mainly on panamax vessels. The list of our counter-parties include the largest trading houses such as ADM, Alcoa, Ameropa, A.P.Moeller, AWB, Cargill, Cereol, Conagra, Dreyfus, Fertichem, Glencore, Helm, Marubeni, Mitsubishi, Primetrade, SSM, Toepfer, Tradigrain, Transamonia, Wilmar, as well as a number of major owners and operators like ABT, Bottiglieri, D'Amato, Deiulemar, Cobelfret, Coeclerici, Cosco, Hanjin, Klaveness, Keoyang, Navios, Oetker, Pan Ocean, Sinochart, Transfield, Worthington, Zodiac and many others. Our scope of activity includes: Comprehendive chartering service for any size of dry cargoes on worldwide basis, We charter bulgarian and foreign flag handy size from 9000mts to handymax tonnage to cater for transportation of bulgarian held import/export cargoes: coal, grain, sugar, steels, fertilizers, Booking of space for break bulk general cargoes in deep sea trades, Competitive business. Out of the two basic types of cargoes carried by sea we deal with the liquids. our experience started when this company came into beeing in 1965 and ranges through all kinds and sizes of liquid cargoes shipped in bulk. We do offer service in chartering of vlcc,s, aframaxes, handy and tiny inner sea and river going tankers with the whole variety of the cargoes they carry : crudeoil and its dirty and clean products, harmless and noxious chemicals, lpg and potable alcohol, molasses and vegetable oils . Time charter management and general agency for a major black sea shipowner in the bulgarian ports are also amongst our activities. We have established and maintain direct business relations with almost all black sea tanker shipowners and the majore cargo charterers, as well as with literally all the rest of the shipping community through more than a hundred brokers, which whom we keep long standing partnership. The rapid changes in the last 12 years have prompted us to keep up pace with the most advanced technologies and standards in the tanker shipbroking of today. Fair and reliable service and keeping life and environment safe are our main goals. Mediterranean department is the shipbrokerage division of Bulfracht Shipbrokers concentrated on shipments from all European ports, including Black Sea, Sea of Azov and North Africa, both sea and river areas, as well as container transportation.
